BankNewport Names Vice President

John R. Daniels

NEWPORT, R.I. (July 16, 2007) – BankNewport President and CEO, Thomas W. Kelly, recently announced the appointment of John R. Daniels to vice president and branch manager of the Bank’s Barrington office. Daniels began his career at BankNewport in 1989 and has held various positions, most recently serving as assistant vice president and manager at the same branch location. He is responsible for branch operations, business development and staff development. Daniels holds a Rhode Island Insurance Producers License and is a Registered ParaplannerSM. He is a member of the board of directors of the East Bay Chamber of Commerce, where he currently serves as treasurer, a member of the Bristol Fourth of July Parade Committee, and a member of the board of directors of the King Philip Little League, where he currently serves as treasurer.
