Douglas R. McEwen

NEWPORT, R.I. (September 6, 2007) – BankNewport President and CEO, Thomas W. Kelly, recently announced the appointment of Douglas R. McEwen to vice president and branch manager of the Bank’s new North Kingstown office located at 1350 Ten Rod Road. He will be responsible for branch operations, business development and staff development.

McEwen comes to BankNewport from Primary Home Finance in East Greenwich, Rhode Island where he served as a mortgage consultant.

McEwen earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston. He is a member of the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce. Doug and his wife, Jo Ann, have three daughters and reside in Saunderstown, Rhode Island.
