NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (December 6, 2007) – BankNewport Vice President and North Kingstown Branch Manager, Douglas McEwen recently had the pleasure of presenting a grand prize certificate for a Caribbean Cruise for two to Mr. Grant Moniz of Exeter, winner of BankNewport’s Grand Opening Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes was one of the highlights from the Bank’s celebration for its new North Kingstown Branch on November 16 and 17, 2007.

The Grand Opening Sweepstakes invited North Kingstown residents to visit the new branch during the weekend celebration to scan a debit card facsimile that may have been received by mail prior to the event. Individuals who scanned winning cards could then step inside the Bank’s safe deposit box vault to select one of 30 boxes filled with prizes from local merchants, including a mountain bike, electronic items, jewelry, a camera, tools, and gift certificates.

In addition to the Sweepstakes, families in attendance at the Grand Opening weekend enjoyed carousel rides, carnival games, clowns, magicians, and carnival treats of cotton candy and popcorn.
