BankNewport Repeats as One of America’s Best Banks to Work For in 2025

NEWPORT, RI – (November 14, 2025) – BankNewport has been named one of the 2025 Best Banks to Work For, marking the third time the Bank has earned this national recognition. American Banker has partnered with Best Companies Group to identify banks that excel at creating positive and supportive workplaces for employees.
BankNewport is one of only 90 banks nationwide to earn a place on this year’s list, selected from nearly 4,500 banks across the United States. The 2025 honorees were chosen based on an anonymous employee survey and a comprehensive review of each institution’s workplace policies, benefits, and culture. The survey and awards program is designed to identify and honor banks with the best cultures for helping employees thrive.

Determining the Best Banks to Work For is a two-step process. First, each participating bank’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics are evaluated, accounting for approximately 25% of the total evaluation. Second, employees completed surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace, worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. Combined, these results determined the final ranking.
To be considered for participation, banks must have at least 50 employees working in the U.S. and have been in business for a minimum of one year. Best Companies Group managed the registration and survey process and also analyzed the data to determine the final ranking.
