We have updated our branch hours expanding beyond our COVID-19 hours for your convenience.  For the latest hours click here.  Although branch lobbies are open, it is still with limited capacity per branch. All customers entering the branches are required to wear a face covering/mask before as per the guidance provided by the Office of the Governor and the CDC to protect the health and safety of all. We remind you that drive-up banking, ATM/PTM banking, and appointment scheduling and online banking remain other ways to bank with us.

Schedule an Appointment:

There are three ways to schedule an appointment:

  1. Call your local Branch directly
  2. Schedule via our website. Each branch location has our Branch Manager listed and there is a link to schedule an appointment at their location. Simply click on the link and once the appointment is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email of your appointment.
  3. Call our Call Center at 401.845.2265 or 877.709.2265 and they will assist you in scheduling an appointment with your nearest branch location.

We kindly ask that even if you are not feeling well or are displaying symptoms, to refrain from coming into the branch for the safety of our employees and others.

Digital and Mobile Banking - If you wish to enroll in digital banking and have the ability to bank online, click here. If you have already enrolled but have not used these services frequently, our bankers are standing by to assist you. Our digital and mobile banking platforms allow you to complete all of the following transaction activities:

  • View transaction history
  • Make loan payments
  • Transfer funds

  • Balance alerts
  • Make check deposits
  • Online Chat Available via online and mobile banking to assist you should you need it Monday thru Friday from 7:00AM to 7:00PM and on Saturday from 8:00AM to 2:00PM

Ways to Reduce Cash Handling - Use debit cards, credit cards and our mobile wallet as alternative ways to make purchases and payments.

Personal Teller Machines (PTMs) and ATMs - PTMs offer the personal touch of a banker, combined with the convenience of an ATM. ATMs and PTMs are available at BankNewport in both walk up and drive up. Both offer cash withdrawals.

If you do not have a BankNewport debit card you may use your license or other I.D. at our PTM.

Also, by tapping the "teller assist button" a banker can help you via secure video connection. There is a BankNewport banker waiting to assist you. PTMs allow you to do the following:

  • Make loan payments
  • Cash checks
  • Make deposits
  • If you need cash, make withdrawals with your choice of denominations, including ones, fives, twenties and fifties
  • Extended hours beyond branch hours

Cash Availability - ATMs and PTMs are available at BankNewport in both walk up and drive up. Both offer cash withdrawals.

PTM machines offer the ability to speak to a Banker via secure video connect by pressing the “Teller Assist” button.  (Please understand you may experience a small wait time as our Bankers assist other customers.)

You can also conduct the following transactions using our PTMs:

  • Cash checks
  • Make a withdrawal
  • Make deposits
  • Make loan payments
  • Transfer funds
  • Get smaller denominations of cash

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC):
Insured Bank Deposits are Safe

In light of recent developments related to the coronavirus, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is reminding Americans that FDIC-insured banks remain the safest place to keep their money. The FDIC is also warning consumers of recent scams where imposters are pretending to be agency representatives to perpetrate fraudulent schemes.

Since 1933, no depositor has ever lost a penny of FDIC-insured funds. Today, the FDIC insures up to $250,000 per depositor per FDIC-insured bank. An FDIC-insured account is the safest place for consumers to keep their money.

Steps We Have Taken:

  1. In addition to monitoring the status of the COVID-19 on a daily basis, please be assured that we have a formal plan to ensure the continuity of our business.
    • We will implement the various phases as necessary to manage the prevention of the virus in our workplace.
    • Part of the plan includes ensuring that our workspaces are cleaned on a daily basis, and that cleaning supplies are available.
    • We have asked our cleaning vendors to take extra care with cleaning all surfaces.
  2. We have provided guidelines to our employees to follow to help lessen the spread of illness:
    • Employees who are ill have been directed to stay home from work.
    • We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of hand washing and other precautionary hygiene steps.
  3. We have restricted employee attendance at all community and business events sponsored by BankNewport to help prevent the spread of illness.
